Windows 7 Review

Windows 7 operating system has been produced by Microsoft and it is launched on 22nd of October 2009. Windows 7 is available in three editions they are Home Basic, Home Premium, Professional and Ultimate editions. Windows 7 operating system can be used in desktops, laptops, net books, tablet PCs, media center PCs. The system requirements for 32-bit version of Windows 7 operating system are 1 GB of RAM, 16 GB of available free hard disk space. Quick launch feature has been removed from Windows 7 operating system. Windows 7 includes new advanced features like support for virtual hard disks, improved boot performance, support for virtual hard disks and kernel improvements.

In Windows 7 security center has been renamed as Windows Action center. Windows Action center includes both security and maintenance of computer. Lot of changes has been done in taskbar. Quick launch bar has been replaced with pinning applications in taskbar. Jump lists feature in taskbar allows easy access to tasks. Also user can change taskbar settings. Windows 7 allows the user to run XP application in an XP compatibility box, but it looks like as if it is running in Windows 7. Let us wait and see whether Windows 7 replace Windows XP.
